Safeguarding
Chatsworth Baptist Church (CBC) is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all members of our community, especially children, young people, and adults at risk.
Our activities and services are designed to promote spiritual growth, community involvement, and personal development in a secure setting.
This will include welcoming and running activities for children and adults at risk and making our premises available to organisations that do the same.
The church recognises its responsibilities in safeguarding all children, young people and adults at risk, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or ability.
At CBC we have established clear safeguarding measures to help guarantee this. We are dedicated to adhering to legal guidelines and expert recommendations in every aspect of safeguarding.
All individuals in roles involving interaction with children or at-risk adults are recruited, trained, supported, and supervised in accordance with government regulations and our church's safeguarding policy.
Members of CBC commit to the nurturing, protection, and safekeeping of all associated with the church and will pray for them regularly. In pursuit of this, members commit themselves to the Safeguarding policy and to the development of sound procedures to ensure sound implementation of our policy.
CBC consider safeguarding a collective responsibility and strive to create an environment where issues can be reported and addressed effectively. Our Safeguarding team is available, proactive, and backed by continuous training and responsibility.
We work with the Baptist Union of Great Britain (BUGB) to develop and review the safeguarding framework for our church.
