Youth
We aim to provide opportunities for young people aged 11 to 18, to grow up in Christian faith together and realise their God-given potential.
We have contact with about 80 young people through our youth work, which includes:
Lazers Sunday School Group
For 11-14 year olds (School Years 7 to 9)
The group meets on average 3 times a month for a range of fun and challenging bible-based activities, designed to help young people learn to follow Jesus, in all aspects of their every day lives.
Youth Home Group
For young people aged 15 plus.
The group meets mid-week, fortnightly, for a range of fun and challenging bible-based activities, designed to help the young people support each other in following Jesus, in all aspects of their every day lives.
Friday Night Youth Club
For 11-16 year olds (School Years 7 to 11)
A fun and challenging programme of activities for young people (including a Girls Only stream), to help young people realize their potential. Its open three Fridays a month during term-time. The programme includes; sport, guest speakers, talent shows, cooking, pool, table tennis, group games, board games, as well as opportunities to go on trips to the cinema, activity centres and theme parks.
Youth Praise & Worship
We have a group of gifted singers and musicians who regularly help to lead worship either in Sunday services or at youth and community events.
Youth Mission Projects
Each year we aim to get the young people from Chatsworth and other local churches involved in showing God's love as they make a difference to a particular part of the community e.g. by cleaning up litter or gardens on a local estate.
